It started with a simple need to see what was over the next ridge.

Long before the first piece of gear was ever designed, our lives were defined by the dirt beneath our boots and the miles stretching out in front of our van. From the grueling, transformative days hiking the Appalachian Trail, to navigating remote, multi-day backcountry motorcycle routes, the wild places have always been our truest home. Traveling across the country with just the essentials—and our dog, Halas, looking out the window—taught us what it really means to rely on the equipment you carry.

When you spend your life off the grid, gear isn't just an accessory; it is a lifeline. You quickly learn what holds up on a freezing overlanding night and what fails when you need it most. We found ourselves constantly searching for equipment that matched our relentless pace, and when we couldn't find it, we decided to make it.

That is the heartbeat behind TOTB OUTDOORS.

We didn't want to just put our logo on someone else's catalog. We hand craft and manufacture our own products because we believe that true reliability comes from personal craftsmanship. We feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the Fire & Ice team, working alongside a crew that understands exactly what the trail demands. Every tool, every piece of gear, and every item we create is born from necessity and rigorously trail-tested on our own adventures. If it doesn't survive our backcountry trips, it doesn't make it into your pack.
